Truck Load Conveyors

Meridian Manufacturing: Industrial Truck Load Conveyors

Commercial grain elevators, seed processing facilities and fertilizer plants have different requirements for truck loading. Convey-All offers portable truck load conveyors in a range of lengths and belt widths, including stainless steel models for applications where corrosion resistance is important.

Conveyor selection involves more than matching equipment to the required loading height. Operating angle, material characteristics and the capacity needed for different trailer configurations all influence which model is appropriate.

The standard Truck Load range includes 16- and 22-inch belt models, while the stainless steel lineup also includes 12-inch models. For facilities that load more than one commodity, product-contact surfaces and the time needed to clean between loads may be as important of considerations as the nominal loading rate.

For a truck loading application, share the materials, required loading rate and trailer heights with us, and we will help you find the right model for your needs.

Common Applications

  • Truck loading at commercial grain elevators
  • Seed plant shipping and bulk loading

FAQ

Start with the loading rate your facility requires, then compare the published model capacities at the intended operating angle and discharge height. Belt width alone does not establish the rate you will achieve. The standard range lists 16- and 22-inch belts; smaller stainless steel models are also available for applications where their construction and size are appropriate.

Stainless steel is most relevant where fertilizer or another corrosive material will contact the equipment, or where cleaning requirements influence material selection. With full stainless construction or just stainless ends available, review which configuration makes the most sense for the materials being handled. Compatibility should be confirmed for the specific product being handled.

The current Convey-All specifications list a self-contained hydraulic drive, mover equipment and other truck-loading features under the Truck Load package. Field Loader configurations do not feature a mover kit. Specify the package by model rather than assuming the same engine, hydraulic system or mobility features are included across the range.

Hydraulic lift allows discharge height to be adjusted on the published Truck Load models, but the working angle changes as the conveyor is raised. Compare the model chart at the heights and angles you actually plan to use.

Provide the material or materials, target loading rate, expected truck and trailer heights, available space and any restrictions on movement around the loading point. For fertilizer, identify the material and required corrosion protection. If the conveyor will serve several loading locations, include that in the request so mover and drive packages can be reviewed.
